Standard prescriptions for the formulation of medicinal preparations in pharmacies III Some possibilities of using isopropyl alcohol

On the basis of the examples of preparations listed in Deutscher Arzneimittel-Codex/Neues Rezeptur Formularium (NRF), the paper illustrates some possibilities of replacing ethanol by isopropyl alcohol as one of the possible ways of composition and technology of medicinal preparations produced in pharmacies in the Czech Republic. It further draws attention to the economic and clinical advantages of the use of isopropyl alcohol.
