Modern orodispersable dosage forms come to the forefront of the interest of patients and pharmaceutical companies for its undisputed advantages, namely application comfort without the necessity of drinking, fast onset of action, good bioavailability of the active substance, dosage accuracy, reduction of side effects, and increased safety of the therapy. The dominant formulations across the group have remained orally dispersible tablets, supplemented more recently by dispersible films. At present, several patented technologies are commercially used in their production. They can be schematically divided into the productions by freeze-drying, compression, and forming by other methods.
